Timeshare Trends: Conventions

No comments 15 February 2010 Under: Global Timeshare Trends

If you own a timeshare unit and want to get it rented, here’s some things you might want to consider. If you own a timeshare unit in a convention hot spot like:

Miami – Miami Beach Convention Center
Orlando – Orange County Convention Center
Chicago – Donald E. Stephens Convention Center
San Diego – San Diego Convention Center
New Orleans – New Orleans Convention Center
Los Angeles – Los Angeles Convention Center
Atlanta – Georgia World Congress Center
Las Vegas – Las Vegas Convention Center

You might want to consider listing your property with a listing agency that deals directly with the convention centers and can recommend the peak travel times associated with the convention schedules for those cities. Business travelers and convention attendees are looking for rates that are less than hotels rates, giving you the timeshare owner a unique advantage to get your unit rented. If you have a floating week, you will want to discuss with your resort management agency on when the best time is to get a confirmed reservation booked in order for the best chances to get it rented.
